A game in five gates
Who Is Looking
A short browser game in five gates, each of which pulls the rug out from under something you were sure of: which dot is you, what you have been painting, when now is, and where blue lives. The whole time, your own movements are being folded into a sand mandala, and at the end the wind comes for it.
Sound on (headphones are best).
It takes about six minutes, works with a mouse or a finger, and goes fullscreen when you begin.
- ISelf One point of light is you, or so you are told.
- IIGround You are asked to paint the light.
- IIINow Everything you see has already happened, and you have to catch the present anyway.
- IVBlue You are asked to find the note that is blue.
- VWind You see what you made, and then what happens to it.

Malcolm Ocean and Claude made this in one sitting, starting from the prompt above and the thought it was replying to. It is a single HTML file with no game engine, just the Canvas and Web Audio APIs. The mandala is your own cursor path, folded eightfold and mirrored, with one ring added per gate.
